sweet saskatoon blossoms

somehow i was wide awake at 4 am this morning ...

musing on a few things ~ thinking i ought to really try hard to get back to sleep ...

the light was growing outside our window ...

and then it began ...

one robin ~ i suppose you might say, the 'conductor' ...

he let out a little chirp at first, like he was 'tuning' ...

liked what he heard and broke into full song, soon leading a symphony of song ...

greeting the day so sensationally!

i was so grateful for being awake ~ to have front row seats ...

and it made me think of kelly's writing yesterday at the blue muse ~ 'making do' ...

i am sure mrs. finch (look at those legs) was in the choir ...

to be a yummy honeysuckle ...

did you ever nibble the ends of these flowers as a child? ~ sweet as sweet as can be ... :)

and the grand unfurling of the fern ... what a finale ...

calling for encores!

hoping your day is filled with sweet sounds ~

xo

love the unfurling of the fern. I remember woods filled with ferns at my grandmother's house in Cape Cod. I was fascinated by them. gorgeous photos.

Your day started off on a beautiful note! And yes, I remember laying under the branches of a honeysuckle bush, laden with blooms, picking one after the other and nibbling away as I gazed at the bright blue sky beyond.
