Oh, these are beautiful "blooms"! And I adore the chicken mosaic behind her. What a gifted "chick." Sorry for the horrible pun. I want to thank you for the amazing comments you've left me this week. I have cherished each and every one. It was a tough past few days, and your words and thoughts were a real bright spot for me. Thanks for always being such an inspiration, my friend!

Big hugs,
Gigi

What a lovely post, and I see the talented Gigi has already been here to tell you how much we all relish your posts. I also have a soft-spot for chickens, and that community mosaic project is quite enterprising and inspiring. You live in a wonderful place. Hope the weather is still amenable to playing outside this weekend...

These are beautiful! Thank you for your sweet comment earlier. Did you say SNOW??? They are forecasting snow here later this weekend-I think just a dusting. It's a bit early for that. Anytime after Halloween is fine though. Are you making soup?

debra ~ thanks! i hope you take a peek at barbara's other works ~ quite diverse! uh, yup ... snow ... but just a dusting ... oh ... except for this very moment ... HUGE flakes again ... pretty! it's a crazy time of year and i am with you ~ i actually like the snow to wait until after november 11th - our remembrance day so that all the older veterans can travel safe to the services ... then i say let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! and yes, soup ought to be ready at 6:30 ... will you be by? pg xo

Dearest Prairie Girl,

"...it fell hard kissing all of the green earth goodnight ..." I can't tell you how much I love these words...so eloquent and beautiful!

And since we are on the topic of beautiful, I hope with all my heart that you are painting this weekend! You are so right, there is something very cosmic going on in our universe. A strong pull to follow an artistic passion, to break free of constraints - at least that is what is happening in our home. Many deep discussions on how to change direction towards what brings us most happiness....I'll let you know when we figure out how to balance this fine line of responsibility and following heart.

Life is a mosaic, and we must enjoy placing the colorful moments into their artistic space.

Bisous,
Melissa

Dear PG - thank you for commenting on my blog. That mosaic flower and plant container is beyond beautiful! If I was to be privledged enough to have one, I'd put it in the middle of the front yard, fill it with flowers and greens, and let people come and enjoy it, just like Barbara has done! Mosaic tiles remind people of life and the pieces that glue it all together.
