today is a day to celebrate canada ~ our home and native land ~ a country as rich, diverse and colourful in culture as the terrain that stretches from coast to coast and north to the midnight sun. o canada ~ yours and mine ...

the following is a glimpse at canada ... the opening drumming honours our first nations people ... i live somewhere in the middle where the golden fields are being combined ... enjoy and do come and visit!

I lived in Detroit as a child and remember having a double celebration of sorts during the first week of July, with our friends across the bridge. As a teenager, my friends and I would always travel over to Canada to watch the fireworks. Have a wonderful celebration!

we are thinking about taking a trip up to Canada in a motor home -now that we're pros!! I saw that there are some great camp sites (KOAs and such)up there. Can't wait.

thanks deidre ~ we did have a wonderful celebration with friends who have moved to 'town' and have this wonderful deck that overlooks the valley and we had just the right view of the fireworks ... spectacular!

simply mel and osh ~ thanks so much for your comments and i do hope simply mel that you will find more adventures 'up here' soon! osh, there are definitely koa sites here for you to pull your home into ... i would say we are all lucky fish to be living on this continent together!

It is beautiful. I've visited Toronto and really liked it. For a city it had a very relaxed hometown feel.
